Soul Circles
“To build the world we want, and tear down the old one, we can and must start small.”
Andrea Ritchie
After 10 years of facilitating circles, I continue to be humbled by their transformative power. What happens inside a circle or intentional 1:1 can impact how we show up in the world.
Facilitation is an art form - but I believe that anyone can do it, with a little encouragement and a roadmap to inspire them to get started. I'm using digital design tools to create replicable, adaptable conversation guides to inspire people to self-organize; foster equitable communication so every voice is heard; and invite people in to make critical connections.
My current project: Soul Circles.
Join a pilot circle to experience the process for yourself! This offering is free - but I will ask you to make a donation and/or take action to support mutual aid and movement building.
1:1 circles last from 75 to 90 minutes, and group circles last from 90 minutes to 2 hours.
“Any time you listen devoutly to another, you have created a sacred space.”
Stephan Beyer
Are you interested in using transformative conversations to boost your fundraising, community organizing, or activism? Design a circle to support your cause!
If you're involved in organizing led by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, or young people, I can donate my time to help you design or adapt a circle for your community or target audience. You can keep the name Soul Circles or leave it - whatever works for you.
For more about the inspiration behind the name, check out Grace Lee Boggs's essay These Are the Times That Grow our Souls.
